Having lived as an expat for the last 9 1/2 years, I am no stranger to new beginnings. Each location we have lived in has brought unique opportunities, perspectives and yes, challenges. The smallest of tasks can prove difficult and every day I am forced to let go of old habits and ways of being in order to move forward. I have re-invented myself countless times - each time shifting my approach and digging deeper, slowly bringing clarity to my creative ambitions and goals. And so, after many years in Asia, moving to Europe has coincided with a wish to make a larger change to the focus of my work - this blog and site are the start of this.

I've always been interested in stories. I still get excited discovering a new book. A new author can take me to an undiscovered world and show me how it works. It feeds my creativity and my intense curiosity about the world beyond the suburban streets I grew up in. As I grew older and was drawn to the visual arts as a form of expression, photography became a way for me to satisfy some of this curiosity. It has allowed me to peek beyond the curtain, to see and experience people and places that were different from the life that I knew.

We all have stories to tell and what I will seek to do in the weeks and months to come is to share stories that interest me, that make me smile, that bring me a bit of wonder and awe. Some stories will be my own, some will be the stories of others who inspire me or make me see and appreciate something new. I hope they will be stories that show and allow the experience of another - another place, another perspective, another way of being. Ultimately, I hope that they will be stories that remind us that we are all on this beautiful blue ball together.

•   Will it be about photography? Yes, because photography is still my go-to method of visual expression.
•   Will it be about travel? Yes, because I travel a lot and I feel it is one of the best ways to expand my own personal perception.
•   Will it be about life? Of course, and I may even wax philosophical from time to time.

It will also be about creativity in whatever form it comes.
